Pond Fountains

Posted by Kevin in Life

The backyard to my neighbors house has such a beautiful pond fountain, so I decided to ask her where she got it. She informed me that she did an online search of “pond fountains” and happened upon a local contractor that installs them the next day. Then she wrote down the link to a site that has a wide range of pond fountains. I absolutely fell in love with the one that includes a statue of Cupid. The water comes out of the tip of his arrow, it is totally adorable! What was not’t so adorable was the price. The lowest was six hundred dollars. Luckily we have a little bit of extra money to throw around this month so my husband has decided that we can get the Cupid one! He is wonderful, and so is my fountain.

I Love Technology

Posted by Kevin in Life, Shopping

One of the world’s greatest inventions is the creation of computers. I can’t even fathom what life would be like at my age without a computer. I use it for everything, chatting, schoolwork, playing cards, keeping up-to-date on what is going on in my friends lives. I don’t know where the entire world would be without them! We would not be able to exist these days if they were to become obsolete. Everything is controlled by computers, our funds are kept tabs of on computers, need I say more? It’s a shame that while we consider ourselves free and functioning on our own, technically our lives are dependent on them. Without them we would not only lose everything materialistic, but many lives would be lost as well because we use machinery to keep some people alive.

Customized Slipcovers

Posted by Kevin in Life, Shopping

I’m currently looking for a seamstress that would be kind enough to make me some custom slipcovers for my couch and love seat. Those poor furniture pieces are mostly white and have taken a slight beating over the past few years. If anybody knows of someone who is willing to make them for me I will be absolutely thrilled! I would go to the store to buy some, but I have a unique idea in mind that no store is going to carry. At least none that I have ever seen. I want to make a reversible dual colored slipcover. The seat being black and the back being purple. If anyone knows of a good seamstress willing to do that, let them know that I am paying a decent amount for them! Thank you.

Planning A Graduation

Posted by Kevin in Family, Life

My sister called me this morning to see if I knew of any cheap places to buy graduation invitations. Turns out my oldest niece is graduating this May from college. I am so proud of her! She has worked her behind off for the past four years to get her degree in nursing. I told my sister that depending on how cheap she wants to go, all it will take is some paper of her own and an ink cartridge. She is not real tech savvy so when I told her we could create some fantastic looking ones on the computer, she was ecstatic! Now she’s asking me if I can not only help her with that, but also with more planning for the party. I suppose since I’m not too busy that I can give her a few pointers.

More Mail For Me!

Posted by Kevin in Family, Life

This afternoon while I was leaving the house I opened up my mailbox only to find an advertisement for term life insurance. Call me crazy, but I feel it is pointless to even buy! Who the heck wants to pay money for a service they will not use? Especially when it involves not receiving a refund if it is not used. I have to do that enough for my auto insurance, I refuse to do it for my own life! So anyways, I told my husband my thoughts about it (being it was addressed to him in the first place); he agreed with me and asked why I wasted my time reading the worthless mail in the first place!

Wakie Wakie!

Posted by Kevin in Life, Rant

I have been having a very hard time sleeping this week for some reason, and this morning I was actually sleeping good for once when I was woken up to the sounds of very loud industrial equipment behind my house. I wanted to go over there and ask them to stop, but I know they do not care if I sleep. I wish that I lived somewhere rural!

Prenatal Vitamins

Posted by Kevin in Food, Life

I was wondering if you need a prescription for prenatal vitamins or if you can buy them over the counter? I know that I need more vitamins than I get so I was thinking that those are the best vitamins that you can get, so if I can get them over the counter I would like to try them to see if I feel generally better.

What Acne Solution Is The Best?

Posted by Kevin in Life

What are the best acne solutions? I have yet to find the perfect acne treatment because usually the ones that I like the best end up drying my face out leaving it blotchy and flaky. The worst thing is when my skin gets dry like that it itches really bad and then it begins to hurt. I just want to know what I should do!

I am curious as to how I can lose weight fast. I know that there are ways that I can get into quick weight loss I just need to know which way is the safest and most efficient way. I really want to lose some weight before summer rolls around again this summer, and I would feel better so that I can wear shorts without feeling weird about it.

My Family And Hair Loss

Posted by Kevin in Life

In my family, there is a big problem with hair loss for men. That is why I try to keep track of my hairline. Luckily, I have nothing bad to report as of late. I think I chalk it up to healthy eating habits, abstaining from destructive behaviors, and generally having a little self confidence about me. Well, I’m not sure if all that’s true, but I am comforted by scientific breakthroughs of late that help men keep their hair for longer, even if they do have genetic tendencies.
